HPT Announces Minnesota Event

By popular demand, Heartland Poker Tour announced a tour stop in the company’s home state of Minnesota. The nationally-televised poker show will film two episodes at Canterbury Park Racetrack and Card Casino in Shakopee April 20-30, 2012. Vietnam Vet Scores HPT Championship, $90K

Few days before the nation observes Veterans’ Day, Heartland Poker Tour honored Vietnam Vet Ken Rosheisen as the latest champion of the nationally-televised poker show. The weekend tournament was Rosheisen’s 10th HPT attempt, second TV table, and his most profitable. Investing just $360 to play, the retiree takes home $90,598 to Janesville, Wisconsin.
HPT has a long history of supporting veterans through a commitment to the non-profit organization, Disabled American Veterans. The tour donates one percent of each prize pool to DAV and airs public service announcements in the show 52 weeks each year. Read More

 

Famous Online Gambling Sites Banned By FBI

The ban imposed by the FBI on the domain names of the famed 3 sites serving the US market like the FullTiltPoker.com, PokerStars.com and AbsolutePoker.com, as being responsible for initiating illegal gambling activity and fraud charges for allowing players to sign and play for real money games in their sites.

WSOP Packages clarifications

Dear Ipoker member,

Following to feedback we received from some of you, we found it necessary to explain the following points with regards to the WSOP packages:

  1. A player can qualify through the different promotions to any of the WSOP packages.
  2. If a player is qualified to the exact same package through super satellites, he will not be refunded for the second package, and it will have to be transferred to another player.
  3. If a player wins 2 different packages and the hotel nights are overlapping, the player will not be refunded for the overlapping nights. Read More
 

Online Poker Domains Seized by FBI

fbi pokerFamous online poker sites that have been allowing US residents to play in their sites are facing FBI seizure of their business domains.

Players who are visiting to Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker, UB Poker and Absolute Poker are heading to get a seizure notice from the FBI.

This is not the first time. A similar seizure of Bodog Poker has occurred in the past where the domain owners had to work via the court to get the domain name back and working in shape. Read More
