In a poker game, if a player has got a pair of cards such as an A-Spade and a 6-Spade, with a group of cards like K-Diamond, a T-Heart and a 6-Club which combine to give the player a typical bottom pair that is flopped. In another example, if the player has 3 cards each with a separate rank in a flop game like Hold’em and s/he pairs the smallest one among them, that player will be left with a bottom pair.
There are scenarios like this “I thought of disposing my bottom pair because I felt it’s okay for me since I was heads up.” Therefore, the lowest pair of cards on board a flop game can easily be termed a bottom pair. Some players in a community poker game prefer to call it the bottom set where the set or pair is created by matching the card on the board that has the lowest ranking with another or more cards in a player’s hand.
