This term is sometimes jokingly referred to as “cappucino” or “capitola” in some Vegas casinos and this describes the permissible number of raises that can take place in a game of poker. Once a ceiling is placed on the raises that can be made during a game, poker players often may say “the pot now wears a cappucino. “Fixed limit poker games have their rules which include putting a limit called a “cap” on the number of raises allowed in any betting round.
A cap placed on the number of bets allowed makes it a bit hard for players. However, it is made simpler by specifying it as the final number of raises to cap the betting process made by players so as to make it more defined. An expression that depicts a capped game is this: “In an early position I took when I played my first game, I was disappointed to see a string of raises before a cap was eventually placed.” Where there are no clearly defined rules on raises and caps, players may be pitched against each other while trying to set new ones in the middle of a game.
