Some poker tournaments which feature draw games are quite easy for certain players because of the regular occurence of a made hand. This is the hand to which a poker player draws and is adjudged to be a hand that is very good for a winning shot. A made hand does not always have to be improved although this could be done in order to ensure that a deadlier hand gives a higher chance of success at the pot.
A player can start in a game with a made hand. This is due to the fact that the cards are already dealt out in this way. However, some poker players are adept in making a good hand for themselves during play. To make a hand simply means to arrange a particular type of hand. If a hand is for instance, given as 3,4,5, a player will only need to get 2 and 6 cards in order to be able to make a hand. “Phil has got a backdoor flush draw, a good game with a made hand to cash in on the pot.”
