The poker term “winner” makes reference to the winner blind, and mostly followed by a number that is assigned the size of the blind. The difference in the blinds is most times used in draw games, but this is also common in no-limit poker games such as Texas Hold’em. For example, Winner eight means the player who won the pot has to leave $4 to be put into the next pot. It is to make the next hand $8-limit for a limit poker game or an $8 minimum bet for a no-limit game.
The usual practice is that each winner that emerges from a winner game makes a blind for that same amount. In another context, the player who ends up with a pot after the close of a game of a single hand can be declared as a “winner.” There are no hard and fast rules about becoming a poker winner. The most proven track to victory is this game is through diligent study of experienced players’ games and by personally playing them yourself in order to achieve the enviable status of a poker “winner.”
