The FTOPS schedule with a minimum prize pool of $500,000 has been declared. The tourney will be organized from May 8, 2009 through May 17, 2009; featuring about 25 events in total. FTOPS XII is set to begin with $216 no limit hold’em which is a six-handed event from Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 9 p.m. EST. The tourney will be played with guaranteed prize money of $1 million along with satellites for the event, which has been scheduled already.
The main event will be organized on May 17, 2009. The buy in for this event is a $535 and the guaranteed prize pool is nearly $2.5 million.
The tourney is expected to attract the interest of poker players. The two day event with a buy in of $2,620 will be organized on May 16, 2009. This is indeed the biggest buy in.
The major of the games in the 25 events will be hold’em; however, there are going to be differences in betting structure and betting patterns.
The variants in the games will be in the form of multi-table tournaments, six-handed play, shootouts, rebuys, knockout formats, turbos, and one variant has a blinds structure consisting of antes from the beginning hand.
FTOPS XII events are also organized with games like Omaha, Omaha eight-or-better, razz, stud eight-or-better, HA which is half hold’em and half Omaha.
The upcoming FTOPS will not have H.O.R.S.E. tourney, but the sequence of the round will be rearranged as HEROS and will be organized on May 12, 2009.
