In the current day trend, no-limit poker is illegal in Florida, and the no-limit betting structure is restricted in Florida; however, plans are also up to change the Sunshine State as a major poker and casino gaming destination.
In the past week, the Senate in Florida disclosed a comprehensive new plan to ease up gaming laws throughout the state with the goal of being able to increase the revenues they make out of poker.
If a novel legalization of no-limit poker in the Florida Senate wins through, the true no-limit poker will be made available pretty soon at the Seminole Tribe resorts and in a number of pari-mutuel outlets throughout the state.
The betting limits in Florida are at present set to a maximum buy in of not more than $100. In cases, where the novice law comes in to force, the buy-ins for true tournaments is expected to increase.
Apart from planning for a new poker market, the senate will also decrease the minimum gambling limitation to age 18. Apart from that the senate will also be authorizing a few of the casino games. This is being done in an expectation from the state to make an additional $1 billion in revenue for the state; however, the $6 billion budget deficit requires more funds to fill the gap, but $1 billion in revenues will help reduce the budget deficit to $5 billion.
However, there is also a threat from the opposite team where they would like to maintain the current restrictions and also they might attempt to close the existing poker locations too!
