Recently, poker has become a most popular type of card game. It is the game where the players have to bet on the hand possessed by them on the basis of the value of combination of cards in their hands. The bet is to be placed into the pot kept in the centre of the gambling table.
The player having the best ranking of his hand according to an established hierarchy of the hand rankings becomes the winner. Otherwise the player remaining in the game when all of his opponents folded their hands or the player making an un-called bet called the winner.
There are many variations of these games, but all of them are following a similar pattern. The most simple of all the versions is ‘five-card stud’. Hands of poker might be formed with the use of cards that are hidden with the opponents or from the possible combination of the hidden cards as well as the community cards, yet it depends upon the variant of poker games.
Other games dealing with gambling which are using hand rankings of poker might be referred to as ‘poker’ as well. The game of video poker is game played by a single player with the help of a computer that functions much similar to a slot machine.

Draw poker game:
As in five-card draw poker game, each player receives five or more than five cards, and all of them are concealed in the hand of the player. One or more cards out of them can be replaced by the player at certain times.
Stud poker game:
As in the game of five-card stud, every player receives five or more cards. Some of them have to deal facing up, a single card at a particular time, and to be displayed towards the other players at the gambling table. Players are not permitted for discarding or replacing any card in the game of stud poker and that part of the hand of a player is disclosed rather than disclosing the entire hand as in draw poker. This makes a key difference between the stud as well as the draw poker.
Community card poker game:
In this game players have to combine their cards with which they are dealing individually with some ‘community cards’ which are to be dealing facing up as well as shared by every player. It would be attempted by all players for making the best poker hand of five cards with the use of community cards along with their own facing-down cards. In the most popular variant of poker games like Omaha holdem and Texas holdem, a player has to deal with the 2 or 4 individual cards, respectively.
