Summary Of 2009 Scandinavian Poker Awards

The deluxe Luux nightclub staged the scenes of Scandinavian Poker Awards. The Scandinavian Poker Awards event was clubbed with the fifth event of the European Poker Tour of Copenhagen. The Scandinavian Poker Awards were given to a list of players for excellent performance, best player online, best live poker player, best female poker player, Rookie of the year.

Patrik Antonius, Ilari, “Ziigmund” Sahamies, Peter Eastgate, Michael Tureniec and Annette Oberstad were among the nominees for the award.

It was commonly noted that Peter Eastgate was an all time favorite and he won two of the categories he was nominated for. He was nominated for best performance, best live player, and Rookie of the year and he bagged the best performance and the Rookie of the year award.

Patrik Antonius bagged the Best Performance title, and the came up above a complicated field of nominees consisting of Michael Tureniec, Eastgate, Johnny Lodden, and Jesper Hougaard.

The best Female player award was bagged by Sweden’s Magdalena beating up and coming against Annette Oberstad and Minna Ritakorpi of Finland.

The final award of the even was for the Best Online poker Player and this was bagged by the popular high stakes player and the railbird fave Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies. He is the up-and-coming Finnish star who came up about his fellow countrymen Patrik Antonius and Sami “Larsluzak” Kelopuro and also against Gus “The Great Dane” Hansen and Sweden´s Joel “Odonkor” Nordkvist.

Denmark and Finland made it to the tip in this year’s Scandinavian Poker Awards thereby each country made it with two awards each and one award of the five went to Sweden.
