The Dream Team Poker event for the second team to be held in 2009 has been declared and scheduled to be organized at Las Vegas Caesars Palace between March 27, 2009 and March 29, 2009 following the victory of inaugural team in the poker tournament the previous year. This year, the Dream Team Poker will be open to everyone as opposed to the past version where only private players were permitted to play.
Therefore, anyone will be able to play poker for money in the prize pool. This is a no limit event which has a buy-in of $500+$50 and the expected players are 300 in number. They will be divided into three groups, with 100 members per team. They are going to compete to win the prize pool of $150,000.
This tourney will permit participation as individuals and also as a part of a team thereby giving a two way path to the prize pool. This is one of the unique prize pool plans.
The players who are going to go busted will still have an option of being able to make some winnings if their team performs well.
The previous year’s payment was $39,000 and the value of the championship rings were at $5,000 each. On the other hand, this year prior to the dealing of the first cards custom team jerseys, party admission, rate discount for hotel rooms, surprising gifts and welcome party will be provided. Also there will be a ceremony for the winners.
The team which ranks in the top five places will be awarded with a cash prize ranging from $4,500 for the last place up increasing to $45,000 for the squad champion poker.
