With the launch of the English Poker, London will be under the limelight of the poker media in September 2009. The inaugural opening of English poker has been declared to be scheduled between September 15, 2009 and September 17, 2009.
World famous poker pros are going to witness the inaugural open. Several of the WSOPE and PokerStars EPT participants have packed their baggage to make their way to the event in the Capital of Great Britain. They are also planning to add the Nottingham Inaugural English Poker Open to their schedule.
The buy in for the English Poker Open event has been fixed at $5,300 and the event will be on from dusk through dawn in Nottingham. A total of 270 participants will be permitted for the event. The cap is set for 270 players and none more. Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson are going to be sure for there in the event. British pros Joe Beevers and Liv Boeree have confirmed their presence to the event.
The prize pool for the event is a whooping $1 million in guarantee. The event will be featured by nearly 45 tables and 24 plasma screens will be put up for displaying the tables in action in the tourney. The event will also have a high roller VIP section. The buy in will be $5,300 and the staring stack will be 10,000 chips.
Apart from the main event, the English Poker will provide with events offering £560 and £280. Several online poker sites are offering satellites to the event. If you have the skill and want to start with small money you can prove your skill in one of the sites offering satellites to the event and eventually getting your package for the event.
Most of the satellites come with a winning package which provides money for the buy in, the travel, accommodation and related expenses.
