- Do not play when you are unsure of your bankroll strength. It is okay if you are playing a bit of burst, but if you are doing that regularly you are likely in danger of being stripped of all you have. Prevent all nasty big bets by not playing beyond bankroll.
- Some people are very much vulnerable to bluffs. Identify such bluffers and if they are your true opponent your bluffs might work every time against them; however, if they are those math deciders they are going to back shoot your bluffs by reacting in a way you did not want them to.
- Play aggressive in tight passive games. Develop a technique to reading the opponents that are playing tight passive and sense when you can be aggressive and when you should not be. Aggressiveness in most cases folds up tight-passive competition. So, never miss on such an option if you have a tight-passive irritator.
- Over aggression in tight passive tables can be a mess. Consider making multiple small winnings in tight passive table if you think that you have got a lot of tight-passives, otherwise it might be impossible for you to refill your blinds. Make lot of small winnings rather than making one huge winnings against these players.
- Check your position. It is risky to be in a position ahead of tight players where you will be betting before them. If you have been betting with a mediocre hand the strong tight player will likely call-raise your bet, which will increase the price you have to pay!
- Focus is important for any kind of winning in poker. It will take quite a lot of play with a close attentiveness to every minute detail in the table. If you are going to miss on one small detail you can land up playing a dead hand or you will be folding your best hand.
- In low limit tables play straight most of the time. Play just worthy hands that are the best. It is not the reading abilities that have value in low limit rather a straight play is better in low limit than bluffing and reading skills. Reading skills have a role, but straight play is better.
- Recollect the early rounds. Never forget about who did check and who did raise in the flop or pre-flop. Unless you remember all such primary actions you might not be able to track the opponent action or correlate them to arrive at the decision in the playing.
- Review the initial betting approaches of players. It is important that you have a very keen eye on the beginning betting rounds and correlate then to later rounds to figure out whether they have improved or not. This information is needed to base your decisions to judge them in the later rounds.
- Play less number of hands. Pro players play very few hands. Those that play more than the normal amount of hands than any poker player should actually play, is the one that can be exploited. So, consider the number of hands played to decide on betting.
