Bump it or dump it is the mantra of the antifish

To be the antifish , the dominant player at the table, you must be the one who is expected to raise. To create that expectation, sim ply put the heat on and keep it on. If you’re in the right game with the right actions, you’ll be the Lone Raiser-a consummation devoutly to be wished for.i mean, really, wouldn’t you like it to be that way?Wouldn’t you love to play in agame where you are, literally, the only one who thinks to raise? Can’t you just count the advantages that gives you? First, it gives you room to speculate with your hands.

Second, it makes your foes nervous and edgy by forcing them to take their dubious hold-ings forward for twice what they wanted to pay. Third, it means your opponents will start checking to the raiser (you, the antifish), which will allow you to take a free card sometimes or bluff at the pot.

The circumstances aren’t always right for antifish play, but if the circumstances are right and you don’t seize the initiative, then you’re just leaving money lying on the table. So do this: Look around for agame that’s genial and reasonable and then set out to render it senseless. Control is the issue, not profit. Although when an antifish takes control, profit is usually not far behind.
