- For a very strong starting hand that has 3 low cards between A-2-3-4-5, the betting approach can be aggressive; in fact you can play fast.
- Trying to play hands with 8 can be difficult; however, if you are lucky with the rest of the cards turning out to be low cards you can still consider, but 8 is a difficult winning; 8 with high cards is a bad sign and you need to fold.
- Hands with 7 or better or 7 can be player. But if you turn out wit multiple pairs in the streets you need to think about folding without a second thought.
- However, if you have just one low pair, try to read others and there are chances that you can split with a qualifying low pair! 5-4-3-2-2 beats 5-5-4-3-2 or pairs that are higher than that
- You need to prioritize and re-prioritize your approach each time.

- However, you need to check if your existing low cards are an open card with some other of your opponents. If it happens that there is no one having an open card that can pair with your card, then you need to be cautious with re-raising because there are many chances that you can land up with a pair of low cards getting your chances killed.

- Right from the beginning you should try to hide information about your 2 pocket cards. With the rest of the pocket cards going to be open, hiding your pocket card is your only private key.
- Learning to betting in a way that people call based on suspecting you are important rather than letting them learn what you actually have. If you do not conceal you can loose by wrong playing the best hands.
Middle hands can be possible chances in Razz poker for intermediate players; but you need to consider the betting style of others in the board, you need to look if there are any low cards with aggressive betters that can kill chances for your middle hand.
With middle hands you must fold if someone is improving better than you. Say a 7 or 7 or better middle card hand should be folded if it does not improve.
